Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 2026 • Last Updated: September 8, 2026

1. Our Privacy Commitment

At ReMay (including RemoteTube and our platform integrations), your privacy is our foundational principle. We believe software should do exactly what it says it does without secretly collecting personal data, tracking user behaviors, or selling information to advertisers.

The Core Summary: We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. We do not require user accounts or logins. All control messages are ephemeral and securely transmitted in real time.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Unlike traditional streaming controllers or remote desktop applications, ReMay is deliberately architected to function without knowing who you are:

3. How Remote Pairing & WebSockets Work

When you pair your smartphone to your computer using a QR code:

4. Third-Party Services & Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel), or third-party behavioral advertising networks on our website or within our browser extensions.

When you interact with media services like YouTube, Twitch, or Kick in your browser, your interaction with those platforms remains subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. ReMay does not intercept or alter your accounts on those services.

5. Open Source Transparency

We believe trust requires verification. RemoteTube and ReMay are open source. Anyone, including security researchers and developers, can inspect our code, review our network requests, and confirm our privacy commitments directly in our GitHub repository.

6. Policy Changes

If we introduce new features that require architectural updates, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

7. Contact & Support

If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this Privacy Policy or our security architecture, please open an issue or start a discussion on our official GitHub page.
